What to Expect at the 2008 J.D. Power and Associates Automotive Internet Roundtable
Celebrating its’ 40th anniversary, J.D. Power and Associates is pleased to present this year’s Automotive Internet Roundtable on October 7-9th, at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas. For over 23 years J.D. Power has brought together key industry thought leaders to present and discuss “leading edge” topics and issues. This year is no exception. J.D. Power and Associates, in collaboration with Jumpstart Automotive Media and other top automotive industry companies, has assembled a complete and compelling agenda for the Roundtable.
The Roundtable kicks off with the first release of data from the J.D. Power Online Auto Shopper Study presented by Gene Cameron & Scott Kane. The information from this J.D. Power specific research will set the foundation for the ongoing Roundtable discussions.
Four key OEM representatives will offer Tier One’s perspective regarding the challenges and opportunities in utilizing the internet to market automobiles. They will be joined on stage by four “retailers” representing the nation’s top dealership groups. Onstage together, this “super panel” of eight will discuss not only the tier one and tier three relationship, but they will also address the internet’s role in tier two marketing. This is the most ambitious panel discussion in scope and depth, assembled at an automotive conference.
This first day of the Roundtable is capped by the introduction of the “Catalyst Awards” presented in conjunction with Jumpstart Automotive Media. The Catalyst Awards is the first and only in the Automotive Industry to honor excellence in online advertising, design and creativity,; expect to be dazzled by this inaugural ceremony.
The Roundtable continues on Day Two with a not to be missed keynote entitled “The Future of the Internet” presented by Tom Leighton, Akamai Technologies. This is followed by an agenda packed with leading edge topics presented at both general sessions and breakouts. Just a sample of what’s being covered includes User Generated Content, Video, Search, Social Media, and Mobile Web. These phrases don’t do justice to the depth of knowledge represented by the panelists and the opportunity for interaction by the attendees.
The Roundtable closes out on Day Three with discussions focused on other industries and an international panel as well as a selection of marketing roundtables.
Whether you desire valuable information, the opportunity to meet the leaders of internet marketing, or interaction with key industry peers, this is a Roundtable you won’t want to miss!
